Expectant Mothers, Newborns, and Infants
I take pleasure in getting to know and providing services to expectant mothers, families, newborns, and infants. I have supported families preparing for pregnancy, throughout pregnancy and during post pregnancy care. I have experience working with premature newborns and infants as well as concerns and diagnoses such as birth trauma, lip and tongue tie, breastfeeding issues, plagiocephaly, torticollis, sensory issues due to immature nervous system, GERD, colic, sleep disturbances, low tone, high tone, poor strength, uncoordinated motor movements, as well as many other developmental concerns.
My combined CranioSacral and occupational therapy skillset as well as my experience gained from working in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Cardiac Intensive Care (CICU), home health and private clinic settings affords me a unique lens when working with little ones. I not only facilitate tissue releases using CranioSacral Therapy, but I am able to identify and address any concerns from a developmental standpoint as well. Often times, activities to promote developmental skills are discussed and demonstrated with an opportunity for the parent/caregiver to practice, ask questions, and provide feedback.
I enjoy providing therapeutic sessions that support caregiver and baby bonding. Each session is unique to the needs of the family and can include more than one caregiver. Contact me for more information.
